Sculptural furniture design rooted in craft & concept

Meet Emma

Emma Kean is a furniture designer studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she is currently a junior. She works across wood, metal, and fabric mediums and is MIG welding certified.

Emma is drawn to the entire arc of the creative process—from early sketches and 3D modeling to hands-on time with machinery and materials. She brings deep care to her work at every stage, and has built a strong foundation in tools, fabrication, and joinery, with particular interest in carving, welding, and wood bending techniques.

Her work is sculptural at its core, guided by a desire to make people feel something. She hopes to create one-of-a-kind pieces for museums, commercial spaces, or freelance clients—and is seeking opportunities with women-owned studios and sculptors who value craftsmanship and conceptual thinking.
